Work has been tough and tedious. Work before the reward. Over the past few weeks Bryson and I have been non stop number crunching. And just this last Friday, we finally completed our goal of keeping statistics for the 2016-2017 boys basketball season. We now have overall player rating as well as other elements such as field goal percentage. Finishing this part of the project happens to be very relieving, because now Bryson and I have the information to change formats and lineups as well as layout certain scenarios.

On pitch day Bryson and I presented our idea to administrators. Our proposal stated that we were going to try to win more games, and possibly a sectional championship. Our timeline was presented in the idea that we would first analyze 2016-2017 season, and give information on that season, and then apply those ideas to the 2017-2018 season. Once the season has begun, we will take stats for our team, as well as other teams that we will be competing against. Preparation happened to be hectic. Bryson and I happened to be bouncing between failed proposals, and happened to have started preparing the day before pitch day. Seems, like a recipe for failure... Right? Wrong. Administrators loved the idea of taking high tech software to improve to basketball team, all with no cost. We learned that our project was very beneficial and could help shape the community, and maybe the future of the basketball program. The feedback from administrators helped us realize how important our project really could be.
Bryson and I choose to collaborate with the basketball team to keep statistics. We choose to collaborate with the basketball team to give an in depth analysis of the gameplay, and possibly win more games. This project is important because we are able to change the game. We hope to have a winning percentage over .500 and win sectionals.
